FIFA World Cup (Toronto)

Between June 12th to July 2nd Toronto hosted six FIFA World Cup games (The last times Toronto hosted FIFA were in 2014: The FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup and in 2007: The FIFA U-20 Men's World Cup) I was able to capture photos from every day before the start of the game. The games played in Toronto were; Friday, June 12: Canada vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Wednesday, June 17: Ghana vs. Panama, Saturday, June 20: Germany vs. Côte d'Ivoire, Tuesday, June 23: Panama vs. Croatia, Friday, June 26: Senegal vs. Iraq and Thursday, July 2: Portugal vs. Croatia (Round of 32 knockout). I was only able to see a few of the fan parades and I always chose the parade that was happening closest to me. So I wasn’t always able to capture every team.

Here are a collection of my favourite photos from the fan parades as well as fans entering the stadium gates.

Photos were taken both digitally with my Canon 5D Mark iv using my 40mm lens and with 35mm film using my Olympus Mju point and shoot camera. (using Kodak Ultramax 400, Ilford HP5 plus, and Manual MC 400 film) Film photos were developed and scanned at Graination.
